3…2…1…Valentine’s Day?! Are you all ready to celebrate Love? May I am going to bake some cookies for my Valentin for my working colleagues. It might be a good reason to mess up the kitchen – it has been such a long time since my last baking-post (the last sweets I made were Xmas cookies in December)

What are you sweethearts planning to do on Valentine’s Day? Going out for dinner? Making some hand-made sweets and chocolate? Or will it be just a normal everyday life?

For those who would like to surprise their Honey; I collected some sweet food ideas from my favourite recipe-sites. You may find something suitable for the coming Valentine’s Day. Just click on the pictures, they will forward you directly to the website.

Hello my Lovelies!
How was your weekend?

Sorry for my poor blog entries… I just don’t find the time to write.  Christmas is coming soon (I still have to buy some presents lol) and my diploma examinations are finally in January. Time goes by at a rapid pace

Anyway, here is a short entry about my weekend. My friend had birthday so he invited us to a traditional Swiss dinner *Mhmmm, I can’t get enough of Raclette*

My Sisterheart looooves meat ^.^

Tastespotting.com

Sometimes when I have time or I am fed up with my school works (just like now…) I often land on Tastespotting.com. It is one of my favorite recipe database. Whether sweet or salty – you will find everything on tastespotting. A great place to turn off my mind or to search for inspirations.

Happy Valentine’s Day ♥ ハッピー バレンタイン

Hello my Sweethearts!  Did you get a lot of sweets and chocolate from your beloved ones? I am more the kind of people who gives small gifts, sends some messages to others – or bake some cute little cupcakes as you can see on my pictures below

For 12 Heart-Cupcakes you need:

for the pink heart
75g butter
50g sugar
250g flour
50g coconut flakes
220cc milk
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 package of vanilla sugar
red food colouring

for the Cupcakes
125g butter
1 egg
120g sugar
160g flour
160cc milk
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 teaspoon of natron
1 package of vanilla sugar
a few drops of vanilla essence
a pinch of salt

for the frosting I used
fresh cheese
icing sugar
coconut flakes

oven baking temperature: 180 C°
baking time: ~25min

Instruction:
start with the hearts:

1. Beat butter, sugar and vanilla sugar together until it becomes creamy
2. Add the other ingredients and continue mixing
3. Fill the dough into a flat backing form
4. Bake the dough for the hearts and let them cool completely on a rack
5. Cut out little hearts, the dough should be 3~4 cm thick

next step – Cupcakes:
1. Beat butter, sugar and vanilla sugar together until it becomes creamy
2. Add the rest and continue mixing
3. Fill a bit of the dough into the cupcake backing cups
4. Put one heart into each cup and press it point down into the dough and make sure that you keep all the hearts in the same direction, so you remember which way the heart is facing after the cupcakes are baked
5. Cover with another heap of dough so the heart is completely covered
6. Bake the Cupcakes and let them cool completely on a rack

7. Lastly, decorate your cupcakes with frosting, sprinkles, chocolate…. until you’re happy ^^

a halfed Raffaello on the top

Surprise your loves with these pretty little Cupcakes (*^ヽ^)

From Fashion, Food, Travel to Life & Streetstyle, you’ll find everything.

Here are my favourite News:

Manga-Chic Fashion Glasses

the Japanese (and most Asian people) don’t have any scruples about wearing extraordinary accessoires or clothes.  Their life is filled with colourful, funny, weird, crazy and kawaii clothings. I honestly have to say: hey, people from Switzerland, why are you all staring at me, when I am wearing a Cosplay or just a “unique” piece of clothing from Japan I am not an Alien!  Regrettably, this is one of the disadvantage here in Europe… However, we all are living in a free world, I don’t care what other people think.  I’m just me and i like it like that.

Japan’s Platform-Side Shopping Malls

Shopping – Every girls passion! I adore the shopping streets and centers in Japan.  Not only in big cities but also at the train stations you can rummage a lot of pretty shops and enjoy yummy restaurants.

Japanese Creativity Brings Objects to Life as Cartoon Characters

Japan is very know for its special and traditional art. I am sure we are all familiar with Mangas and Animes.

This picture reminds me of the incense, which we have at home. We bought it last year in Kyoto (Japan).
