After a lot of Tapas, Tortillas and Flamenco, I am happy to be back home in Switzerland. The last three days were anything but relaxing!
I had a full programme and there was barely a break between the excursions. It was really exhausting but Spain and its attractions were excellent! Ultimately, the trip was worth it! ![]()
I ate a lot of culinary delicacies, saw a lot of beautiful places in Malaga and took a lot of pictures, which I would love to share with you guys!
Today I will start with my first day in Spain: Day 1 in Malaga

“Let all the souls here rest in peace,
Again a little travel diary about my holiday in the land of the rising sun! After the post about Miyajima, I’d like to introduce you another beautiful place in Japan. My visit in 2007…

This post will be about a gorgeous and cultural island of Japan. I was there in 2007 so I am also going to show you some pictures. ![]()
Miyajima 宮島 literally means “Shrine-island” and it’s reachable by boat from Hiroshima. The island is about 30 km2 big and there are living approximately 2’000 inhabitants. The traditional specialities of Miyajima are the beautiful red-shrine buildings, the famous red Torii (=gate), Momiji Manju (=maple leaf shaped cake filled with red beans), grilled oysters, Sakushi (=rice scoop made from wood) and what I mostly like there were the wild animals.
On this island you can meet wild deers, monkeys and raccoon dogs. We didn’t had time to discover every part of Miyajima so we didn’t meet monkeys and raccon dogs…
Anyway, I enjoyed the other sightseeing spots.
For the next time I definitely should plan more time to experience the beauty of Miyajima. ![]()
