18th Oтαкσи & кαтsυcσи

folks!
I was recently surfing the Internet and watching videos on YouTube. Suddenly I found these interesting videos.  I have never heard about “Otakon” (Convention of Otaku Generation) or “Katsucon”. It is again a festival, where you celebrate all anime, manga and all facets of Asian pop culture. I wished I could go there but unfortunately I realized that the conventions are taking place in the USA!  This year it would be impossible, however, maybe I will go there next year? You never know.

But for those who would like more information, below you’ll find the essential details:

When?

Otakon
Friday, 29.07. from 8.30 am to 02.00 am
Saturday, 30.07. from 8.30 am to 02.00 am
Sunday, 31.07. from 8.30 am to 02.00 pm

Katsucon
Friday, 17.02.2012
Saturday, 18.02.2012
Sunday, 19.02.2012

Where?

Otakon
Baltimore Convention Center
Baltimore, Maryland, USA

Katsucon
Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center
201 Waterfront Street
National Harbor, MD 20745, USA

Anime – Manga – Cosplay; It seems to be a sort of never-ending story!

Anyway, I will keep watching the news so this entry is going to be short.

I forgot to mention that I have bought the “Coyote“-Magazine in Lausanne. The Mag deals with various topics such as new Dorama, Manga, Anime and Game releases. A good way to practise my French

It was time for a change: My mobile got a new look!  I can finally attach cell phone straps to my mobile.   My old phone didn’t have any hole, so I couldn’t decorate it…. it looked pretty boring without any strap….

And the view protection film fitted perfectly! (Bought in Japan)

Neko-chan asked me what Koneko is, so here is the answer to her question:

Well, Koneko is a Trend magazine about Japanese Pop culture, Anime, Manga, music and fashion style. It includes Cooking-, Drawing- and Language courses as well.

I got used to buy Peach, a magazine like Koneko, which gives a lot of information about J-Pop and J-Rock Idols, Styling tips as well as fashion trends in Tokyo. Some years ago I could buy them in every Kiosk here in Switzerland, but it seems that they do not sale it anymore.  My last magazine is from 2009.
